Police arrest youth over Prospect break-in, South Australia

A teenage boy will face court today following the investigation into a break-in at Prospect on Friday.

Police received a report of a break-in at Prospect on Friday 12 June where a Nissan X-Trail was stolen from the home.

On Saturday night (13 June) the stolen Nissan was involved in a petrol drive off from a service station at Greenacres.

Police attended and were able to identify one of the passengers of the car from the service station CCTV.

Investigations led police to an Unley home yesterday afternoon where they arrested a 15-year-old boy from Kilburn for illegal use of a motor vehicle, theft of fuel, aggravated serious criminal trespass and breach of bail.

Two other people present at the home were also arrested; a 14-year-old boy from Ingle Farm for breach of bail and a 20-year-old Glandore man for breach of bail and theft.

Nearby to the home, officers also located three stolen vehicles, one being the Nissan X-Trail, and two others recently stolen from a Blakeview break-in.

All three have been refused bail and will be appearing in the Adelaide Youth and Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
