Police charge man after armed robbery - Casula

A man will face court today after an alleged armed robbery in Sydney's south west.

About 1.50pm yesterday (Monday 14 December 2020), a man – armed with a metal pole – entered a store at a shopping complex on Camden Valley Way, Casula, and allegedly threatened a male employee.

The man demanded cash before allegedly taking money from the till and leaving the store.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Liverpool Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, police stopped a Toyota Corolla on Campbelltown Road, Casula and arrested a 38-year-old man.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and possess prohibited drug.

The man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Tuesday 15 December 2020).
