Police charge woman with firearm offences - Claymore

A woman has been charged with firearm offences after allegedly pointing a bolt-action rifle at a number of people in Claymore yesterday.

Police will allege in court that, about 9pm (Saturday 13 June 2020), a 54-year-old woman armed with a firearm attended a home on Abrahams way.

Two male occupants opened the door and were confronted by the armed woman who threatened them with the weapon. She left the premises and walked to a second address on Abrahams Way and again knocked on the front door.

A man and woman answered the door and were threatened by the armed woman before she left the premises.

Both incidents were reported to officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command who attended a home on Gould's Road.

Officers allegedly found a stolen bolt-action rifle. The woman was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where she was charged with possess unauthorised firearm and two counts of being armed with intent.

She was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 14 June 2020.
