Police probe stabbing in Newtown

A crime scene has been established after a stabbing in Sydney’s Inner-West, NSW Police say.

About 9.10pm (Friday 18 May 2018), emergency services were called to Camperdown Park, Newtown, after reports of a melee.

Two females were located with wounds from an edged weapon. They were both taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene has been established at the park which continues to be forensically examined.

Detectives from Inner-West Police Area Command continue with inquiries into the incident.

No arrests have yet been made. No further information is available at this stage.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
