Police seek information into armed robbery at service station at Bathurst

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated armed robbery at a service station in the state's Central Tablelands today.

Police were told a man armed with a knife entered a service station on Bentinck Street, Bathurst, shortly after 7am today (Tuesday 29 June 2021).

He threatened the attendant before leaving the scene with cash.

The man was last seen walking along Bentinck Street towards Mt Panorama.

The attendant was shaken but not injured.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District attended and commenced inquiries.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of a slim build, and was last seen wearing all black including a beanie and mask.

Police urge anyone with information – including dashcam or CCTV footage – who was in the Bathurst CBD around the time of the incident, including Bentinck and Russell Streets, to contact Bathurst Police Station on 6332 8699 or Crime Stoppers.
