Police update: Shooting incident, Archerfield

Police have charged a man and woman following a shooting incident in Archerfield earlier this month.

Investigations indicate that on June 18, at 1pm a man and woman attended a Beatty Road car yard.

Police will allege a short altercation occurred during which a 61-year-old man was assaulted and a series of shots were fired causing damage to nearby vehicles.

Investigations led police to execute a number of search warrants in northern New South Wales and successfully applied for the extradition of a 31-year-old Tanah Merah man and a 25-year-old Coomera woman.

The two were charged with going armed so as to cause fear and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today (June 29).
