Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Trade

Tasmania's world class exporters have the chance to promote their brand and business by telling their story of resilience, innovation and excellence through the 2020 Australian Export and Investment Awards.

Due to COVID-19, the Australian Export Awards have been reimagined and will now celebrate the stories of businesses which have defied convention, gone out on a limb, adapted, and met the challenges of 2020 in an unexpected or innovative way.

A selected number of stories will be showcased online and the best story from each state and territory will be featured internationally.

Tasmanian exporters have been incredibly resilient and pioneering over the last 8 months, and have adapted and pivoted to continue business operations and invent creative ways to get their products and services to markets around the globe.

This is an opportunity to tell the rest of Australia, and the world, just how extraordinary our local businesses and products are.

I encourage all Tasmanian exporters to share their remarkable stories of resilience, innovation and creativity by entering the 2020 Australian Export and Investment Awards (https://www.exportawards.gov.au/).

With Tasmania's international exports worth in excess of $5 billion last financial year, our exporters have continued to make a significant contribution to our economy. The Tasmanian Liberal Government is committed to assisting Tasmanian exporters increase trade so that economic growth can be experienced in all regions of Tasmania.
