Search continues for missing Port Macquarie man

A land and sea search will continue this morning for a man believed missing on the state's Mid North Coast.

About 7.45am on Saturday (19 September 2020), emergency services were called to Lighthouse Beach, south of Port Macquarie, responding to reports 56-year-old man, Mark James, had gone missing at that location.

Mark is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 165 and 175cm tall, of thin build, with a fair complexion, bald head, and brown eyes.

Officers from the Mid North Coast Police District commenced a search which has been ongoing.

The search, assisted by PolAir, Surf Lifesaving NSW, and the State Emergency Service, was suspended just before 5pm yesterday (Monday 21 September 2020).

It is expected to resume today (Tuesday 22 September 2020), with assistance sought from police divers.
