Study NT scholarships up for grabs

NT Government

International students wanting to study in the Territory can now apply for NT Government-funded scholarships of up to $12,000.

The Study in Australia's Northern Territory Scholarships are provided by the government in partnership with Territory-based international education and training providers.

They are available to qualifying students from all over the world.

The scholarships show the Territory Labor Government's determination to attract high-performing international students and to boost the NT's reputation as a destination of choice for overseas students seeking a quality education in Australia.

Education is a significant services export, injecting more than $170 million into the local economy.

In 2022, nearly 3000 international students from more than 70 nationalities are enrolled to study in the Territory.

International students can apply to study with a range of education and training providers in secondary, vocational education and training fields, and higher education courses.

The scholarships will reduce the impact of tuition fees during the first semester of study.

Higher education students can apply for $12,000, secondary school students $10,000 and those in vocational and training courses $7,000.

Applicants must have a demonstrated record of academic achievement, community engagement and leadership.
