As stated by Creative Industries Minister Simone McGurk:
"This investment will ensure that WA is ready for business and that our new Perth Film Studios are supported by a strong and capable local production services sector.
"Increasing the production capacity of the local sector will meet the increasing production demands of WA's screen industry and support the State's growing pipeline of productions - many of which are set in regional locations.
"Earlier this year, cameras started rolling on Breakers, the first Netflix series to film in the State and the Stan Original mystery-thriller Two Birds filming at the newly opened Perth Film Studios.
"Through this targeted industry supportwe continue to make our beautiful State the most attractive in the country to undertake filming, as well as pre-production and post-production work."
