Townsville City Council is currently working to repair a 200mm pipe supplying water to Saunders Beach which has developed a leak. Council was made aware of the leak around 12pm with crews on-site within an hour.
The Saunders Beach community, which has around 230 properties, will be without water until the pipe is repaired. Repairs are expected to be completed by 7pm.
Council regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks the Saunders Beach community for their understanding and patience.
