Woman dies after single-vehicle crash - Pyrmont

A woman has died in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Pyrmont overnight.

Shortly after midnight (Friday 14 August 2020), a Volkswagen Golf was travelling westbound on the Western Distributor at Pyrmont when it lost control and crashed into a barrier.

Emergency services were called and attended the scene. The driver, a 28-year-old woman, was treated by paramedics before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital where she later died.

Investigations are underway by officers from Sydney City Police Area Command and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
