Wuhan University Visits Durham to Build Strategic Partnership

Durham University

A group of people stood in a line

On 31 May 2023, we were very pleased to welcome colleagues from Wuhan University to Durham to meet with colleagues from our Science and Social Sciences and Health faculties. The visit builds on our renewed undergraduate and doctoral student exchange agreements and saw enthusiasm from both sides to deepen collaborations in education and research.

Our partnership

Formally established in 2018 and then renewed at a virtual signing ceremony on 11 July 2022 for a further five years, this partnership agreement reaffirmed the continuation of our productive research collaborations in Biosciences, Physics, Engineering and Business, and Science student exchange programmes. Wuhan's visit to Durham provided an opportunity to explore new areas of cooperation in areas including Archaeology and Geography and Modern Languages and Cultures.
