The Australian Government is delivering on its promise to make sure women and girls can access quality, evidence-based health information and support.
Jean Hailes for Women's Health will receive $8.4 million as part of the Australian Government's commitment to gender equality and improving health outcomes for women in Australia.
Jean Hailes' health information currently reaches more than 2.2 million website visitors and 6.6 million women and girls on social media. This funding will ensure every woman and girl in Australia will have access to evidence-based health information and advice.
Funding will also support research and education for health professionals and consumers on women's health and continue events such as Women's Health Week held in September each year and the National Women's Health Survey.
In 2025, there were more than 3,100 events and 144,000 participants across Australia for Women's Health Week, and more than 3,600 women contributed to the survey which provides nationally representative data about women's health in Australia.
Already the 2025 National Women's Health Survey is providing critical information about women's needs in relation to early pregnancy loss, migraines and brain health.
With this $8.4 million in funding more women will receive support across each stage of their life. It will also provide better access to vital health information regardless of background or postcode.
Together with the Ministerial Expert Panel on Women's Health and investments in critical programs, the government is prioritising women's health to reduce the incidence of preventable death and illness while shining a spotlight on health issues specific to women.
The funding builds on the Government's landmark $800 million women's health package that is continuing to deliver on its promise of more choice, lower costs and better care for women and girls in Australia.
