At its meeting on 11 August 2026, Council resolved to adopt draft amendments to The Hills Development Control Plan 2012 (DCP 2012) to guide built form outcomes at the Living Choice Retirement Village, 9 Old Glenhaven Road and 5 Holland Road, Glenhaven.
The amendments introduce a new site-specific section of the DCP in association with a planning proposal (9/2021/PLP) to permit seniors housing as an additional permitted use and enable the expansion and completion of the Living Choice Facility.
The development concept includes 50 seniors housing units as well as 2 rural lots of approximately 2 hectares in size along the periphery of the seniors housing development.
The new site-specific section of the DCP will establish controls relating to future character, landscaping, setbacks, open space, car parking, solar access and bush fire protection.
The amendments to the DCP will come into force on the date that the associated planning proposal (9/2021/PLP) is notified on the NSW Legislation Website.
