With Christmas Day approaching the Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) is holding its annual Christmas Shopping Event to cheer us all into the festive spirit.

The AKF invites the public to take part in the festivities and join them on the extended trading day and Christmas event.

AKF Chair, Deborah Tabart OAM will attend and be available to sign copies of her book, Koala Stories from 3:30pm onwards.

"I am incredibly excited, it's a lovely evening and makes shopping for Christmas gifts stress free and enjoyable," said Ms Tabart.

"This year has been difficult for everyone, but this night presents an opportunity for our team to connect with our generous supporters and extend a thank you for the support they have given us throughout the year."

"To thank our supporters for being a part of the AKF community we will be offering bubbly and delicious nibbles for our extended trading hours," Ms Tabart said.

Lucky door prizes and gift ideas will be on display for all to enjoy, and the first 20 customers will receive a special goodie bag.

All profits made from the AKF shop sales are placed directly back into the foundation so AKF can continue their important work in saving the Koala and its habitat.

The event will take place on Thursday 26th November from 3:30pm until 6:00pm at 40 Charlotte Street, Basement level, Brisbane CBD.

For supporters unable to attend, visit the AKF Online Shop and browse the beautiful products for the perfect Christmas gift.
