Burglary at Woodford

Detectives are investigating a violent home burglary where firearms were stolen at knifepoint at a Woodford property yesterday.

Around 6.30am, two masked men armed with knives forced their way into a Gumtree Court house before confronting a 62-year-old male occupant and demanding the keys to a gun safe.

One of the offenders pushed the resident to the ground before stealing nine rifles, wallets, a mobile phone and car keys.

Both men were wearing black clothing with one described as having a large build and aged in his 30s.

The pair fled with a third person who was waiting in the driveway in a small red hatchback.

Investigators are appealing for any motorists with dashcam who were in the area or on the D'Aguilar Highway at Woodford between 6am and 7am Saturday to come forward.
