Southern Grampians Shire Council CEO Michael Tudball extends a warm welcome to newly elected Southern Grampians Shire Councillors, David Robertson, Helen Henry and Bruach Colliton, along with re-elected Councillors Mary-Ann Brown, Albert Calvano, Katrina Rainsford and Greg McAdam, following the 2020 local government elections.

On behalf of the organisation, Mr Tudball also expressed his thanks to outgoing Mayor Chris Sharples, Deputy Mayor Colin Dunkley and Councillor Cathy Armstrong for many years of service and their valuable input to the Southern Grampians Shire.

"I thank the outgoing Mayor Chris Sharples and Deputy Mayor Colin Dunkley for their support of the organisation and their dedication to the community over the last four years. A very special thankyou as well must go to Councillor Cathy Armstrong who has dependably served the Southern Grampians Shire for over 12 years. We wish all three outgoing members all the very best," Mr Tudball said.

"Being a member of a local Council can be both demanding and rewarding, so we thank all those who put up their hand to represent their community. It's an honourable pursuit and one that should be recognised and respected," Mr Tudball said.

"We wish all the incoming Councillors, especially those new to Council, all the best for their term. On behalf of the organisation, we look forward to working with you all for the betterment of the Southern Grampians Shire," Mr Tudball said.

A great field of 15 candidates contested the Southern Grampians Shire Council elections and the CEO thanked all for their interest and passion for the communities across the Shire.

The new Mayor and councillors will be sworn into office at the Statutory meeting to be held on Wednesday 18 November, at 5:30pm.
