Driving instructor charged with assault, South Australia

A driving instructor has been arrested and charged with indecently assaulting a learner driver during a driving lesson.

On Monday 15 June, Northern District Child and Family Investigation Section officers arrested a 62-year-old man from the northern suburbs over an alleged assault that occurred in January.

It will be alleged the man was a driving instructor and while instructing a teenage learner driver and parked on a road in the northern suburbs he indecently assaulted her.

The man was arrested and charged with aggravated indecent assault. He was bailed with strict conditions to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 25 June.

Police have also informed the Registrar of Motor Vehicles of the offending.
