French schools will today pay tribute to the murdered teacher Samuel Paty. That is why the flags on UvA buildings will also be flying at half-mast today.
In response to the events in France, Dutch education ministers Van Engelshoven and Slob called on educational institutions in the Netherlands to speak out for freedom of expression. The UvA has responded wholeheartedly to this call.
