Man dies after crash - Dover Heights

A man has died after a car crashed into a fence in Sydney's east.

About 11.50am (Monday 29 June 2020), emergency services were called to Lancaster Road, Dover Heights, to reports a Mercedes sedan had crashed into a fence.

The driver, a 101-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics but could not be revived.

Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
