Margot van der Goot, Teun Siebers Win ASCoR Baschwitz Awards

Every year, the Baschwitz Article of the Year and the Young Scholar Award are presented during the Departmental Meeting of Communication Science. The Baschwitz Awards are granted to the ASCoR staff member and PhD candidate respectively for the best first-authored articles published in a peer-reviewed journal in the preceding year. This year's recipients of the Baschwitz Award are: Margot van der Goot and Teun Siebers.

They were chosen as the winners by this year's jury:

  • Prof. dr. Stephan Winter - RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau
  • Dr. Nadine Bol​ - Tilburg University
  • Prof. dr. Wouter van Atteveldt - Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam​

Margot van der Goot wins Baschwitz Faculty Award 2023

Margot van der Goot has received the ASCoR Baschwitz Faculty Award for her article:

Because Margot could not attend the event, Hilde Voorveld accepted the award on her behalf. According to the jury: "The article provides an important contribution to the timely topic of interactions with chatbots."

Teun Siebers wins Baschwitz Young Scholar Award 2023

Teun Siebers has received the ASCoR Baschwitz Young Scolar Award for the following article:
