Monash University has been ranked 61st in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, released today.
The result solidifies Monash's position among the world's leading tertiary institutions.
Monash performed well across a number of key categories in the rankings, with exceptional scores across industry indicators reflecting a commitment to industry partnerships, innovation and commercialisation.
The University's standing also demonstrates its continued focus on research excellence and impact, supported by an outstanding track record of funding success.
This THE result follows strong performances throughout 2026 for the University amidst a highly competitive rankings environment.
Results include achieving our highest ever ranking of 31st in the QS World University Rankings, 38th in the US News and World Report Best Global Universities Rankings 2026-27 and across subjects rankings – disciplines including Pharmacy, Education, Nursing, and Mineral and Mining Engineering performed strongly on the global stage.
