Police Arrest Man Over Fulham House Fire

A man has been arrested following investigations into a house fire at Fulham earlier this year.

Just after 12.30am on Monday 11 May, police and fire crews were called to a house fire at a heritage-listed property on Weetunga Street, Fulham.

SA Metropolitan Fire Service fire fighters extinguished the blaze, however the building sustained substantial damage.

Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene and determined the fire had been deliberately lit.

Detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Branch have been investigating the incident and, on Monday 26 October, arrested a 40-year-old Spalding man. He has been charged with serious criminal trespass and arson.

The man was refused police bail and will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday 27 October.

Investigations are continuing.
