A man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged road-rage incident in Sydney's west late last month.
Police were told a Toyota Starlet was being driven north on Woodville Road, Guildford, when it was allegedly cut off by a white Toyota Hilux, about 4pm (Sunday 29 August 2021).
The male driver of the Hilux then exited the vehicle and approached the Starlet, before he confronted a 19-year-old man in the front passenger seat.
The unknown man then allegedly produced a small knife and stabbed the other man in the arm, before he returned to the Hilux and drove away into Oxford Street.
The driver of the Starlet, a 20-year-old man, was not hurt in the incident. He drove the 19-year-old man to Westmead Hospital for treatment of a stab wound to his right bicep.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were alerted and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following investigations, about 8pm on the 8 September 2021, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended a home on Blaxcell Street, Guildford, where they arrested a 30-year-old man.
He was taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he was charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 9 September 2021, where he was again refused bail to appear at the same court on Thursday 4 November 2021.
