Police charge man for historical child sexual offences

Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a 44-year-old man as a result of their investigation into alleged historic child sexual abuse incidents.

It is alleged between January and December 2004, the man who was a local handyman and gardener in the Carlisle and Kewdale areas, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.

The man has been charged with:-

• Sexual Penetration of a Child over 13 years and under 16 years; and

• Indecently Deals with a Child over 13 years and under 16 years.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 15 January 2020.
