Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing in Campbellfield late last week.
The pair, aged 30 and 23-years-old, have each been charged with one count of attempted murder, conduct endangering serious injury and other assault related charges.
The charges follow a confrontation between the victim and a group of people, believed known to one another, outside a Somerset Road address on Thursday 11 February about 1.10pm.
A 26-year-old man was allegedly stabbed during the incident and was taken to hospital with what was believed at the time to be life-threatening injuries.
The 30-year-old man from Docklands was arrested by the Special Operations Group on Friday 12 February following the execution of a warrant.
He appeared before court and was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 11 May 2021.
The 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday and appeared before Melbourne Magistrates’ court late last night.
The Roxburgh Park man was remanded to reappear in court today.
