Police lay charges after sexual touching on bus - Bass Hill

A man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged indecent assault on a bus at Bass Hill last month.

Police have been told a 22-year-old woman was sitting on a bus as it travelled between Parramatta and Bankstown about 4pm (Wednesday 16 September 2020), when an unknown man allegedly indecently assaulted her.

The man got off the bus on The Hume Highway, near Yagoona Railway Station, and the incident was reported to officers from Auburn Police Area Command.

Following investigations by officers attached to South-West Police Transport Command, a 50-year-old man was arrested at Auburn Police Station at 7pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 October 2020), and charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

The Yagoona man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 11 November 2020.
