Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Casuarina early this morning.
At approximately 2am, Police received reports that a 36-year-old female had been assaulted near a fast food restaurant. She was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
It is believed a male that is known to her committed the assault, as he was seen fleeing the scene.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault or who has dash-cam footage to contact police on 131 444 please quote reference 9720118.
