Police update: Fatal traffic crash, Wamuran

Police have charged a Wamuran man with dangerous operation of vehicle causing death in relation to a fatal traffic incident in Wamuran in August.

On August 16, a vehicle collided with two cyclists at the intersection of Boden Road and Harrison Road, causing the death of a 55-year-old Wamuran woman.

The 73-year-old man will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 2.

Earlier: Police are investigating a fatal collision between a car and two cyclists this morning in Wamuran.

Around 10.20am, a vehicle collided with two cyclists at the intersection of Boden Road and Harrison Road.

A 55-year-old female cyclist from Wamuran was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with critical injuries, where she later died.

A 56-year-old male cyclist from Wamuran was transported by road to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The 73-year-old driver from Wamuran was not physically injured.
