A 25-year-old man from Mayfield has this morning been arrested and charged with the Aggravated Armed Robbery and Carjacking committed at Granville Street, West Launceston, on 15 June 2021.
It is alleged the man threatened two male youths with a firearm, before fleeing with personal property and a white Holden Commodore sedan that has since been recovered.
He is due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court this afternoon where bail is opposed.
This follows on from the arrest and charging of a 27-year-old female accomplice. She was remanded in custody and is next due to appear in August.
