Stolen parcels, mail, ID documents seized; woman charged - Arncliffe

A woman has been charged after police recovered parcels, mail and personal identity documents from a unit in Arncliffe earlier today.

Police have been told multiple parcels had been stolen from the foyer of a unit complex on Bonar Avenue over the past 10 days; inquiries led to a utility parked in the building's basement where officers recovered 32 items, including parcels and other property suspected of being stolen.

Officers from St George Police Area Command executed a search warrant on a unit within the same complex where a further 76 items suspected of being stolen were found as well as multiple ID documents, clothing, an electronic stun device and drugs suspected to be Ice.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the unit and taken to Kogarah Police Station where she has been charged with four offences

• Larceny

• Goods suspected stolen in/on premises (two counts)

• Possess identity info to commit etc indictable offence.

The woman has been granted conditional bail to appear in Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 1 December 2020.
