With its broad scope, the journal serves a wide-ranging research community, from basic immunologists to clinical scientists and medical researchers working at the intersection of immunology and related disciplines. It aspires to the high impact set by other Advanced Portfolio titles, underscoring the rigor researchers can expect from the journal.
Advanced Immunology is led by Editor-in-Chief Jay H. Bream, Ph.D. Bream brings extensive editorial experience to the role, having served as an editor for Frontiers in Immunology and an editorial board member for Genes and Immunity. As a professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health for more than 20 years, Bream conducted research spanning cytokine biology, HIV immunology, vaccine science, and translational research, with more than 90 peer-reviewed publications.
"Immunology is advancing at a remarkable pace, reshaping our understanding of medicine," said Bream. "Advanced Immunology launches at the right moment, with a mission to showcase high-impact immunology research and bring together a global community of scientists around the questions that matter most. After more than 20 years running my own immunology research program, I cannot think of a more exciting time to champion this field."
Advanced Immunology is guided by an editorial advisory board of leading academics spanning the spectrum of immunology research and affiliated with institutions worldwide.
"The Advanced Portfolio exists to give researchers a publishing home that works the way science actually works-across disciplines, across communities, and across the full arc from discovery to real-world impact," said Allyn Molina, group vice president of publishing development at Wiley.
