Business break Stepney

A man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to steal an expensive bike from a Stepney business this morning.

Just after 2.30am, Thursday 25 June patrols were called to a bicycle shop on Payneham Road after multiple alarm activations.

When Norwood patrols arrived at the scene they saw a man run away on foot. Patrols gave chase and were able to quickly run him down and place him under arrest.

Upon inspection of the business police located a large hole through a brick wall into the building and noticed a number of bicycles had been moved around, finding one partially wedged into the hole.
