Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Dylan Wittingslow.
A warrant has been issued for the 26-year-old man's arrest for assault.
Investigators have released an image of Wittingslow in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, 177cm tall, medium build with extensive tattoos on his neck and body.
He is known to frequent the Ballarat and Ararat areas.
