Also not to miss: press releases on novel results from the wide-ranging scientific abstract programme covering contemporary topics such as the legal smoking age, sleep, long-term aspirin use, childhood obesity and sedentary time, and the impact of the built environment on health. Plus a tip sheet for the press highlighting particular areas of interest.

Professor Carlos Aguiar, Chair of the ESC Communication Committee, said: "The ESC Congress Press Programme provides an exclusive first look at the most highly-anticipated cardiovascular science of the year. A total of 30 hot line presentations will be given by investigators from around the world. Join us in Amsterdam or online for your chance to quiz the trialists."
