Evade Police Arrest - Canning Vale

Police have charged two juveniles after an evade police incident, which ended in Canning Vale this morning, Wednesday 31 August 2022.

It will be alleged around 12:20am today, officers sighted a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander travelling on Ridgewood Boulevard in Ridgewood.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and it is alleged the vehicle failed to stop and accelerated towards Mitchell Freeway. Police Air Wing monitored the vehicle as it allegedly drove through various suburbs.

The vehicle stopped on Ashburton Drive in Gosnells, and a passenger exited, before the vehicle continued onwards again.

A stinger device was successfully deployed causing the vehicle to be abandoned on Sandringham Promenade in Canning Vale. Two individuals were arrested in nearby parkland and have since been charged.

A 15-year-old boy from Ellenbrook has been charged with:-

• One count of Give False Personal Details to Police

• One count of Steal Motor Vehicle.

He is due to appear in Perth Children's Court on 7 September 2022.

A 17-year-old boy from Redcliffe has been charged with:-

• One count of Driver of a vehicle failed to comply with a direction to stop.

• One count of No authority to drive (never held)

• One count of Steal Motor Vehicle.

He is due to appear in Perth Children's Court on 7 September 2022.
