Fawkner Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault at a primary school in Tullamarine in the 1970s.
Police have been told male students from the Tullamarine Primary School were sexually assaulted by an adult male teacher during lunch and or recess breaks in 1978.
A 67-year-old man from regional Victoria has been interviewed by SOCIT detectives and it is expected he will be charged on summons.
Investigators are appealing for any 1978 past students of the Broadmeadows Road primary school who may have experienced any inappropriate behaviour to come forward in the hope it will further assist their investigation.
