Homicide, Tingalpa

Police have charged a man with murder following the death of a 52-year-old man in Tingalpa yesterday.

Preliminary investigations indicate at around 8pm last night (October 31) a 52-year-old Carrara man attended an address on Belmont Road, Tingalpa.

Upon his arrival, a verbal confrontation has taken place between him and another man known to him.

A physical altercation between the men has taken place resulting in the Carrara man sustaining head injuries.

Police arrived on the scene a short time later and QAS rendered assistance to the man, who was later declared deceased.

A 52-year-old Tamborine Mountain man has been charged with murder.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (November 2).

Investigations are continuing.
