Police can now release the name of the person who died following the serious crash on SH 5, Te Haroto, on Sunday 21 June.
Teang Atauea, a 10-year-old girl from Wairoa, passed away in hospital on Tuesday 23 June.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
