Police charge man over sexual touching - Circular Quay

A man has been charged over an alleged sexual touching in Circular Quay last week.

About 10.10pm on Saturday 5 December 2020, a woman was standing outside a shopping centre in Macquarie Place, Circular Quay, when a man allegedly approached her from the side and sexually touched her.

Police were notified and officers from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, including a public appeal, a 38-year-old man was arrested at Narellan Police Station about 1pm today (Friday 11 December 2020) and charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

The Harrington Park man was granted conditional bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 13 January 2021.
