Police charge woman after suspicious house fire - Killarney Vale

A woman will appear in court today charged after a fire on the Central Coast this week.

About 6.40am on Wednesday 18 May 2022, emergency services responded to reports of a garage fire on Avery Street, Killarney Vale.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze, with the garage sustaining extensive damage.

A 26-year-old woman who was home at the time was uninjured.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District secured a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, about 8.10pm yesterday (Thursday 19 May 2022), officers arrested a 25-year-old woman at a home on Gossimer Street, Killarney Vale.

She was taken to Wyong Police Station where she was charged with damage property by fire/explosion (DV).

An outstanding warrant was also executed.

She was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Friday 20 May 2022).

Both women are known to each another.
