Police identify man killed in Dandenong collision

Police have formally identified a male pedestrian who died following a fatal collision at Dandenong overnight.

Police have been told the pedestrian, a 48-year-old Dandenong man, appeared to be in a confused state on Herbert Street just after 8.30pm.

It's believed a car travelling north on Stud Road struck the man while travelling with the flow of traffic through a green traffic control signal.

Emergency services worked on the yet to be identified man, but he sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and has spoken to police regarding the collision.
