Schneider Electric makes steady progress toward 2025 sustainability targets

Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the latest results of its sustainable impact program for the second quarter of 2022 (April to June).

Schneider's Sustainability Impact (SSI) dashboard measures the organisation's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance. Against an end-of-year target of 4.70 out of ten, Schneider has already scored 4.17, revealing the company is making excellent progress towards its sustainability targets. The program is a regular reminder of Schneider Electric's long-term contribution to global and local sustainability endeavours in every community in which it operates globally.

The results follow this year's Earth Overshoot Day (28 July), the date where more of the Earth's resources have been consumed than can be replenished. As this year's Earth Overshoot Day occurred one day earlier than last year, it's a stark reminder of the need to urgently address our impact on the planet.

"We must face the reality of climate change and keep accelerating our sustainability efforts," said Schneider Electric's Pacific Zone President, Gareth O'Reilly. "As an Impact company, we are confident that organisations can help each other achieve net zero targets through technology, collaboration, and trust. Advancing on our Sustainability Impact program is not about ESG compliance. It's about working together with our entire ecosystem of employees, clients, suppliers, and partners to secure a more sustainable future for everyone."
