Strike Force Raptor lay further charges after man shot during public place shooting at Warwick Farm

Strike Force Raptor investigators have charged a second man as part of ongoing investigations into a public place shooting at Warwick Farm earlier this year, during which another man was shot twice in the arm.

Just before 9pm on Saturday 8 August 2020, emergency services were called to a unit complex on Lachlan Street, Warwick Farm, after shots were fired at a Mercedes Benz in the driveway.

The driver, a 32-year-old man, suffered two gunshot wounds to his forearm and elbow. His passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was uninjured.

A short time later, the man attended Liverpool Hospital and underwent surgery. He has since been released.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command, together with the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor, commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive investigations, a 29-year-old man was arrested in September this year. He was charged and remains before the courts.

As part of ongoing inquiries, Strike Force Raptor operatives, with assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit (TOU), arrested a 22-year-old man at a home at Norwest just after 6am today (Tuesday 17 November 2020).

A search was subsequently executed at the home, where detective seized multiple mobile phones, a laptop and an amount of cannabis and cocaine.

All items will undergo further examination.

The man was taken to Riverstone Police Station and charged with shoot at with intent to murder and discharge firearm intend cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today.

Investigations into the Warwick Farm shooting are continuing.
