Two die after skydiving incident at Goulburn

Two people have died following a skydiving incident at Goulburn in the state's southern tablelands today.

About 12.50pm today (Sunday 27 June 2021), emergency services were contacted concerning an aircraft carrying two skydivers that was in difficulty.

Two parachutists fell from the aircraft and landed near the runway of the airport.

They were located unresponsive and unable to be revived.

The circumstances surrounding the incident will be investigated by officers attached to The Hume Police District with the assistance of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
