91-year-old paraglider survives crash - Northern Beaches

A 91-year-old man has survived with only cuts and an injured wrist after his paraglider crashed into the ocean near Warriewood a short time ago.

Emergency services were called to a cliff face near Warriewood Surf Club after the aircraft crashed shortly before 6pm (Sunday 15 November 2020).

The man has been checked at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and appears to only have cuts and bruises.

An operation is currently underway to retrieve the man from the scene.

The chute and engine have been retrieved from the water.
