Appeal after two men stabbed at Bankstown

Police have released CCTV and are appealing for public assistance after two men were stabbed during a brawl in Sydney's south west last weekend.

About 8.35pm on Saturday 12 December 2020, emergency services were called to a stadium on Eldridge Road, Bankstown, following reports that two men had been injured in a brawl.

Police were told the fight broke out between two groups of four to five men in the male toilet block, where one unknown male, armed with a knife, stabbed two men, aged 20 and 21.

The men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics being taken to Liverpool Hospital for surgery to facial and arm lacerations.

As inquiries continue, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command have released CCTV images of a male who may be able to assist.

The male depicted is described as being of Pacific Islander/ Maori appearance, of solid build, with a long black mullet. He is seen wearing a red t-shirt and light blue jeans.
