Illegal dumping is not only unsightly, it impacts the environment, can create public health issues and costs a lot of money to clean up. The City of PAE is partnering with ATF Vision to trial surveillance cameras in illegal dumping hotspots. These environmentally-friendly cameras are solar powered, have motion detection and number plate recognition. We are trialling these in an effort to reduce the amount of litter which is disposed of illegally, with expiation notices issued up to $1000 or a maximum penalty of $30,000 for a person or $60,000 for a body corporate. Liability rests with the owner of any vehicle caught illegally disposing of waste, so we encourage the community to get as much information if illegal dumping is ever witnessed. To report any illegal dumping or if you would like
