A man has died in hospital after a tree branch fell on his car while driving in the state's Northern Tablelands yesterday.
About 6.10pm (Wednesday 28 October 2020), a 68-year-old man was driving a Ford Ranger utility along Sports Union Road, near the intersection of Trevenna Road, Armidale, when a large branch fell across the roof and bonnet of his car, trapping the man.
He was eventually released and treated at the scene before being taken to Armidale Hospital, where he died today (Thursday 29 October 2020).
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
